viscom: bitmap vs. vector

bitmap and vector images both have their pro's and con's. bitmap works great for the web and they make photographs possible. although bitmaps can become pixilated if enlarged to an excess.

vector images are great for resizing. because they are composed and re-drawn using mathematics, vector images can be blown up or shrunk down at any scale. There drawbacks are that they are very simple renderings and cannot be used with photographs.
